Fees, Insurance & Payment

Insurance

Stone & Stem Psychotherapy currently accepts select insurance plans and also welcomes private-pay clients. Current insurance plans include Aetna, Regence BlueCross BlueShield, Trillium Community Health Plan, and United Healthcare / Optum.

Insurance coverage and benefits vary by plan. Clients are encouraged to contact their insurance provider to confirm behavioral health benefits and any applicable copays, deductibles, or authorization requirements.

Out of Network Benefits

If your insurance plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits, I can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Coverage and reimbursement vary by plan, so I recommend checking directly with your insurance provider.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer in-person or Telehealth sessions?

I offer Telehealth therapy throughout Oregon, with in-person sessions available in Bend and Redmond.

How long are sessions?

Standard therapy sessions are 53 minutes.

Can I use out-of-network benefits?

Yes. If your plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits, I can provide a superbill for you to submit for possible reimbursement.

What can I expect in the first session?

The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other, talk about what brings you to therapy, and begin identifying what you’d like to change. It’s also an opportunity for you to decide whether I feel like the right therapist for you.

Do you provide psilocybin during preparation sessions?

No. Preparation sessions do not include the administration or provision of psilocybin. Licensed psilocybin administration in Oregon takes place at a licensed service center.

What if I’m not sure we’re a good fit?

That’s completely okay. The relationship you have with your therapist matters. We can start with a brief consultation so you can ask questions, get a sense of my approach, and decide whether you’d like to move forward.
